Share a project and invite a teammate

Celeus has three ways to work with other people. Pick by who they are:

You want to Use
Work on one project with a researcher who has their own Celeus workspace Share a project
Show a finished report to a reviewer, a co-author or a journal A report share link
Bring a lab member into your own workspace Invite a teammate

Sharing gives one named person access to one project. The data stays in your workspace; nothing is copied to theirs.

  1. Open the project and choose Share.
  2. Enter their email and choose an access level:
    • Can view - they can open the project’s datasets, runs, results and reports, and download exports.
    • Can view & run - they can also run analyses on the project’s datasets.
  3. Type the project’s exact name to confirm, then choose Share.

They have access immediately and see the project under Shared with me. If they do not have a Celeus account yet, they get access the next time they sign in with that email.

What a person you share with can never do: rename, re-file or delete anything, change the project’s research context, share it onward, or see anything outside the project.

Good to know:

  • Creating a share needs a paid plan and an owner or admin of your workspace. Anyone can receive one, including on the Free plan.
  • If the project holds a dataset flagged as containing identifiers, sharing asks you to confirm your second factor first.
  • Analyses they run count against their own plan’s runs and AI allowance. The results are stored in your workspace, next to the data, and count toward your storage.
  • Their actions are recorded in your workspace’s audit trail, attributed to them.
  • Settings > Sharing lists everything your workspace has shared and everything shared with you. You can revoke access there or from the project’s Share dialog, and it ends immediately. The other person can also leave a shared project at any time.

A share link shows a read-only snapshot of a report - its text and the locked statistics - to anyone who has the link, with no sign-in. It never exposes the underlying dataset and never lets the recipient re-run anything.

Open the report, choose Share, then Create share link. Links expire automatically, and you can revoke one early at any time; whoever holds it loses access immediately. Share links need a paid plan.

On a Team plan, a lab works in one shared workspace. The workspace, not any one person, owns everything in it, and every member can see everything the lab has done.

  1. Go to Settings > Team.
  2. Under invite someone, enter their email and choose a role, then Invite.
  3. They sign in with that Google address and confirm before joining. There is no link to click.

Roles:

  • Owner and admin manage members and billing, and can do everything a member can.
  • Member can upload data and run analyses.
  • Viewer reads results only.

A pending invite takes a seat until it is accepted or revoked. Inviting, removing members and changing roles ask you to confirm your second factor. Removing a member ends their session immediately; their work stays with the workspace.
