Factors associated with a binary outcome

Shown in the app as factors_binary. Part of the method reference, under Regression.

When to use

Which of 2-30 candidate factors are associated with a BINARY outcome: the full multivariable logistic model with every candidate is the primary result, with per-factor likelihood-ratio tests (Benjamini-Hochberg adjusted), correlations and collinearity, and an exploratory LASSO layer reporting how often each factor is selected across 200 bootstrap resamples.

What you provide

  • Outcome: one two-level column.
  • Predictors: one or more columns.

Options

Missing data

  • Complete case (listwise deletion)

Multiple comparisons

  • Not adjustable for this method. Where it makes post-hoc comparisons, the procedure applies its own correction.

Worked example

Celeus's result on a published or illustrative dataset, next to an independent computation and, where one exists, a published value. The data themselves are not reproduced here.
